No Blue Cheese – Cheese Selection Box – Serves 6

£17.50

We love it – but we know that blue cheese can be a bit of a turn off for some – so here’s a seasonal selection for blue cheese shirkers!! 600g of delicious cheese in total, including:

  • Special Reserve Wensleydale– made at the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes, using milk from local family run farms. This cheese is ripened for a minimum of nine months, to give a fuller, deeper flavour, whilst it retains it’s crumbly, moist nature, typical of Traditional Wensleydale Cheese. (Pasteurised cow’s milk)
  • Black Bomber– The hard cow’s milk cheese is wrapped in a black wax, which retains a moist, smooth texture, distinctive from other traditional Cheddars which are usually more crumbly. It’s incredibly rich, with a slight sweet taste reminiscent of caramel and toffee apples and is superbly creamy in taste and texture
  • St Andre– a triple creme cow’s milk cheese, produced in Coutance, Normandy. It has extra cream added during production, and has a very light lemon back note. Smooth, velvety and luxurious (Unpasteurised cow’s milk)
  • Yorkshire Cask– from Cryer and Stott in Allerton Bywater, this cheese was formerly known as Leeds Hellfire. It was created to celebrate the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire, and uses a local Leeds Brewery beer called Hellfire Pale Ale together with wholegrain mustard (pasteurised cow’s milk)
  • Manchego–  Spain’s most famous cheese. Produced in La Mancha in Central Spain, true Manchego is made from 100% sheep’s milk. This one is matured for a minimum of 360 days which gives it a slightly granular texture, and a full flavour
